That old chestnut.
Suddenly, from out of the crowd appeared the young medical student, Jock Gregory, clad in a fine waistcoat of pale blue and looking quite unlike the bedraggled youth with whom she’d shared so much time at the lodging house.
A brunette rival appears! And then disappears. She is not important at all. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Flora Murray Stewart, our heroine. In the book she is described as having auburn ringlets. She does wear a red cloak in the opening scene. However she never runs through the night from Stormhaven.
